WhatsApp is probably the most popular instant messaging platform on the planet today. I bet you that most of your contacts have this Facebook-owned app installed on their devices.
As popular as it probably is, it remains to hold a bunch of little omissions.
Sure, some might argue that these limitations are in place for a reason, to minimize the rate of spam on the platform and for security and privacy reasons, and these do make sense.
However, there is no getting away from the fact that these limitations are still incapacitating.

However, there are a few workarounds. Today, we are going to look at a few ways that you can call a WhatsApp number without saving it on your device.
How to call in WhatsApp without saving the phone number
The first method is a lot similar to the one for messaging an unsaved number on WhatsApp. For this to work, the number you want to call needs to be registered on WhatsApp.
1. Open the browser of your choice, say Google Chrome.
2. Visit the address https://wa.me/.
Note: The WhatsApp mobile number you want to call should be entered in the phone number field in this format https://wa.me/91722000000. Also important to note is that you need to start with the country code.
3. Upon visiting the page, WhatsApp will direct you to a website with a green “Continue to chat” message button.
4. Click on the button to start chatting with the number you entered.
5. Now, on the top right corner of the chat window, you should see a phone icon. Tap on that to place a call.
Make WhatsApp calls without saving numbers using GBWhatsApp
Now, it is no secret that there are a bunch of modded versions of WhatsApp out there.
The legal aspect of this can be discussed at a later stage, but these apps offer a lot more functionality than the stock app.
GBWhatsApp, FMWhatsApp, and WhatsApp Pro are just some of these apps, and you should decide carefully before using one of these apps (and accept the associated risks, of course).
In these apps, you get the option to enter a number and start a chat without saving it on your phone.
Once you enter the WhatsApp registered number, simply tap on the phone icon in the top right corner to place a WhatsApp call to said number.
Again, we cannot wholly recommend these third-party apps as their track record in terms of respecting your data privacy cannot be confirmed (As if Meta‘s own can be confirmed… tsk).
Besides, there are associated risks like getting banned by WhatsApp for extended periods and, in some cases, being forever banned from WhatsApp.
