LG has launched VELVET, the company’s latest mid-range 4G smartphone, in India. Compared to the 5G variant powered by Snapdragon 765G, the 4G variant gets the Snapdragon 845 SoC. LG Velvet price starts at Rs 36,990 in India. There is another option with a Dual-Screen accessory, which will be priced at Rs 49,990. The sale begins on 30th October in India across online platforms and offline stores.

The LG VELVET 4G comes in Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green and Illusion Sunset colours and is priced at Rs 36,990. The LG Velvet with the dual-screen combo is priced at Rs 49,990.
LG Velvet 4G specifications
LG Velvet features a unique 3D Arc design with slightly curved edges and a 6.8-inch (2340×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 20.5: 9 aspect ratio OLED display. It sports a waterdrop notch design on the front.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU.
The smartphone comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage which can be further expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card.
The handset comes with a raindrop camera design for the rear cameras, meaning that the rear cameras are aligned vertically to give a feel of water droplets are falling.
On the back, the LG Velvet features a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, 8MP 120° ultra-wide lens with a combination of f/2.2 aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, there’s a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture.
The device packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for fast charging and 10W wireless charging as well. In terms of security, the device features an in-display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock. The phone runs Android 10 out-of-the-box.
The LG Velvet has Water, dust resistant (IP68), MIL-STD 810G certifications for durability, and it will have its compatible version of the LG Dual Screen. Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers.
