For the past couple of weeks, Xiaomi had launched quite a good number of smartphones. The upcoming phone will sit alongside the new Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, and Redmi 9 Prime handsets.
Redmi India’s official Twitter account confirmed the development, and the company has already published a landing page for the launch event scheduled for September 15 at 12 noon.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi 9i will be available online on Mi.com and Flipkart.
Redmi 9i Specification
The device features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 1,600 x 720 pixels resolution.
The MediaTek Helio G25 SoC is powering the smartphone, backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
There is a good chance that we will see Redmi 9i share the same camera unit as the one we saw on Redmi 9A. This means Redmi 9i will feature a vertical camera module on the back housing a single 13-megapixel shooter accompanied by an LED flash.
The waterdrop notch on the front houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Other than that, the device packs a massive 5,000mAh battery.
Lastly, the Redmi 9i will boot the latest MIUI 12 based on Android 10 OS out of the box in the software department.
Redmi 9i Availability & Pricing
Redmi 9i will be available in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green hues colour options.
As per the leak, the device will come in two configurations 4GB+64GB & 4GB+128GB. Redmi 9i Indian pricing is said to start from Rs 7,999.
The smartphone will be available for purchase via Mi.com & Flipkart.
