Nokia X100 5G with 6.67-inch FHD+ Display, Snapdragon 480 5G Launched in the US: Price, Specification

HMD Global has launched a brand new budget smartphone for the US market known as Nokia X100 5G. Key specifications of the device include a 6.67-inch FHS+ display, SNapdragon 480 5G SoC, and a 4470mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

It comes with Android 11 OS out of the box and Nokia premises two years of security updates. Let us take a closer look at the hardware specifications and other key features of this handset.

The Nokia X100 gets a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display that offers a Full HD+ screen resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio screen. The display gets a center-aligned punch-hole cutout at the top for the front camera. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Nokia X100, as mentioned earlier, is a budget smartphone and, therefore, comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset, which is a popular SoC used on budget smartphones. The handset gets 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB (UFS 2.2) internal storage. Users also get the option to expand the storage using microSD cards.

On the rear side, it has a circular camera island that is home to a quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP main camera with ZEISS Optics, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, as well as a pair of 2MP cameras for depth and macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone gets a 16MP front-facing camera.

Connectivity-wise the device offers 5G (SA/NSA), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHZ + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / GLONASS / Beidou, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

To keep its lights on, the phone draws power from a 4,470mAh battery with 30W fast charging support (Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0). The Nokia X100 5G runs on Android 11 out of the box. The X100 5G also boasts a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Price and availability

The Nokia X100 5G comes with a single Midnight Blue color option. The device is priced at $249 (Rs 18,500 approx.) for the solo 6GB with 128GB version. The handset will be available at T-Mobile and Metro starting November 19th.

There is no word if the Nokia X100 will be sold in other markets across the globe -including India.
