OPPO Has launched a new smartphone in its K-series known as OPPO K9s in China market. Some of its key features include a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 778G 5G processor with support for 5G SA/NSA, a 5,00mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. Here’s a look at the OPPO K9s specifications, features, and other details.
OPPO K9s specifications and features
The OPPO K9s builds around a 6.59-inch IPS LCD display that offers a Full HD+ screen resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 600 nits peak brightness. It features a fast 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate for a smooth graphical experience. Dimension-wise, the device measures 164.43×75.88×8.52 mm and weighs 199g.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G 5G 6nm processor with Adreno 642L GPU. The chipset is coupled with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.2) internal storage. The device also supports storage expansion.
On the flip side, the phone sports a rectangular camera island home to a triple-camera setup comprising a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, the device has a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The device is also equipped with a multi-dimensional liquid cooling technology for reducing the phone temperature. Seven kinds of high thermal conductivity materials are used to dissipate heat and have 100% coverage of the core heat source that can bring down the core temperature by 15°C.
Connectivity-wise, the device offers 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, GPS / GLONASS, Bluetootgh 5.2, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
To keep its lights on, the OPPO K9s is fitted with a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging that is capable of charging a flat battery up to 100% in 59 minutes. Software-side, it will be shipped with Color OS 11.2 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Price and availability
The OPPO K9s is priced at 1699 yuan (USD 256 / Rs 19,900 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB model, and the 8GB RAM with 128GB version costs 1899 yuan (USD 297 / Rs 22,250 approx.). It will get a 200 yuan discount for the first sale.
The OPPO K9s comes in three different color options that including Obsidian Black, Neon Silver, and Magic Purple. The device is available to order from today and will go on sale in China from November 1st.
